Anyone ran a time with a standard vr4.
Would it be slower than a CC GSR because of the weight?

Also if anyone has done minor stuff like exhaust and pod and boost etc..what times have you done?

a CC lancer does the quarter stock in high 14s (jspec) aspec is around low 15s.. so i guess the VR4 would be compariable to an aspec gsr.

I ran 13.7 in my vr4, all i did was take the bcm off, my vr4 is a little lighter due to windows and abs though.

13.84 @ 99mph stock with 11psi.

I assume 7psi would be mid-ish 14's.

It's the only run down a strip I ever did.

EDIT:

~25 ambient temp, 98 octane fuel (full tank), full trim, 11psi with no real change in top end and stock exhaust.

Absolutely stock J spec (11 psi) with restrictive "for compliancing" exhaust - 15.6
3" exhaust, stock boost (11 psi) - 14.6
3" exhaust, stock boost (but bleeding off to 7psi towards redline due to leaky blow off valve), chip - 14.3
3" exhaust, 15psi bleeding off to 7psi towards redline due to leaky blow off valve, chip - 14.1

All runs done in January with 40 degree track temps, full tank of 98 octane fuel, spare tyre and tools in boot.

What sort of times would I be approx. looking at with a full weight J spec vr4 with a small 16g, exhaust, unichip and fairly stiff suspension [if that makes a difference?]

thats a fairly hard question to answer, there's so many variables!!

It's saying that everything else is factory standard.

More boost is therefore the only modification past stock.

Better than saying "11psi" then people ask "Any other mods?"

Lol there was this post on ns.com about stock 180 1/4 times. Anyway this one guy's like "Yeah my mate's stock 180 ran *blah blah* stock, only had exhaust, cooler and a little more boost."

I think the perception of stock is blurring, seeing as so many imports come into the country with the "nescesary" mods like coolers and exhausts.
