Hey Guys, i've been a member for a while, so recently decided to go back into the Mitsubishi game, after much thought of what car to buy next, i decided to get a Gsr CC .
I already laid a deposit just need to tow it back home and pay off the rest :p
Now i got a few questions, as most of the gsr are unrego'd / rwc, i was just worried what might of need to be changed before, it is legally able to be registered.
it has a fibreglass E3 Kit with Fibreglass bonnet, FMIC with pipping, Pod Filter, BOV, Manifold Heatshield, Rips in the front passenger seats, sitting on king springs, 4inch exhaust, boost gauge, turbo timer.

so not being trying to be a noob or anything, what i've mostly listed. most likely i have to change to stock/ or find the stock parts and install it correct ?
it also doesn't have a jack and spare tire in the boot --"

it blows smoke when it rev's, i noticed on the head theres a bit of leak on around the gasket area, so i'm just assuming its a gasket problem.

It would completely come down to the laws in your own state.

Having taken my car over the pits in S.A. recently, I'd suggest:

* Replace any leaking gaskets and clean the engine bay of any obvious oil stains.

* If it's smoking badly, I wouldn't even consider taking it over the pits until it was fixed. You'd just be wasting your time & money.

* Make sure all of the basics are covered first - i.e. horn works, all lights works, windscreen wipers work, good seat belts, no severe rust, etc

* Lose the King springs for a set of standard height springs. Even after doing this however, my car was still *just* under the legal ride height!?
This may have been due to the 2nd hand springs and other suspension components sagging over time, so be aware!

* No blue headlight globes. White ADR approved ones only

* Nothing stupid like LED windscreen washers or valve caps, etc, etc.

* Lose the BOV & fit a factory GSR one. Even a plumback BOV (if it's not factory) is considered illegal.

* 4inch exhaust, boost gauge, turbo timer - All need to go

* FMIC with piping, Pod Filter - Would depend on your State's transport laws

* Is the number plate mounted off to one side in order to get better flow to the intercooler? If so, and it's right on the corner of the bumper, you
need to ensure the plate is "flush" to the front of the car. i.e. looking straight down at it, your front bar slopes slightly back towards the rear of the
car. so just screwing it to that is no good. You need to fit spacers to the outer side so the plate is square to the front of the car, in case you hit
a pedestrian.

(That's one of the things they pointed out to me when my car when through anyway).

* Is the battery relocated to the boot?: If so, it has to be one of those completely sealed high end ones, i.e. Optima Red Top, etc.
Normal batteries leak fumes, so are considered illegal to have in your boot, as the fumes will get into the cabin.

Hope there's enough there to get you started! ;)

So pretty much , I basically I have to make it stock anyways haha now for the task of squiring some items LOL does anyone want to join in for
