aftermarket ecu info

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

ill be adding prices and compare main features such as resolution, boost control, turbo timer, idle control, install difficulty, aux etc..

it should help those looking for an ecu..

no mention of EMS?????
Why, arent they any good or not a good match up for the 4G's. I was going to get an EMS stinger 4424 which i have sitting here, however you guys havegone the autronic, whats the difference.......

General ECU charts as "hearsay" dictates are something like....

Top-End
Motec, Autronic

Mid-range
Wolf, Haltech, Microtech etc

Low-End
Piggyback systems :D

i haven't had much or known much people with EMS except 1..
(lancer gsr)

they seem good.. he had a problem though where the ecu would constanly lose its memory (eg, no map)

no idea why..

anyway.. autronic link fixed dude...

it would also be good if we can compile base maps..
eg..

microtech - jstyle can provide base map
autronic - dre
wolf - myself
motec - im sure there's some rally fiends with em..

etc etc

so in future, it will have the person getting it installed alot of intial setup tuning time which will mean less cost for tuning..

If you don't get a base map (for your type of car it least, preferably with major adjustments sort of done) when you buy your ECU, then you should be buying it elsewhere, or buying a different item.

I'd put EMS around the Haltech ranking, Link and Wolf below them.

Anyone got any info on the SM4?
