Hello guys,

Removed the engine out of the VR4 today meaning the shell will be going soon.
To have a hope of running Air Con in the GSR after the conversion should there be anything else that i need to pinch from the VR4 except for the unit attached to the engine ?

Many thanks in advance.

i don't think so but i think you'll need ac hoses from a cc gl coupe or evo. since they both have the ac on the rear of the motor just make sure theyre the same attachment method

Nooooo...not gl or coupe lol.
Make sure u get the aircon belt tensioner pulley bracket from the vr4. It has a pulley in it and a long screw. its the part that bolts to the x-brace on the back of the block that the aircon unit bolts to. make sure u get all 3 of those bits.
You will need the aircon pipes from an evo. The front condensor behind the radiator can come from any cc lancer so thats not that important.
You will also need the dryer unit from a lancer or evo.
Basically, when i did my aircon using vr4 motor, i used everything evo to match my evo wiring loom, including the relay and fuse block behind passenger headlight. In other words everything is evo, bar the engine itself. This way all the wiring etc to climate control works as per factory.
if u arent running an evo loom and relay/fuse box, then youre going to need to do some creative wiring. save yourself the headache and look for evo gear if possible.

^^^^^ in other words, i gave him my complete a/c setup coz i dont need it and Rob doesnt want to open his windows coz it may wreck his hair

piss off, you fit gauges in your air vents so you had no need for aircon lol. On hot summer days, I'll be cool as lem-on-ade, that cool refreshing drink...

im chasing replacement aircon pipes from the condenser to the receiver dryer then to the fire wall. Can the cc coupe replace the ones missing from my gsr?

Yep, that hard line pipe from the condensor to the dryer unit, and then the hard line pipe from the dryer unit to the firewall is the same amongst all CC Lancers.
Its the flexible hose lines from the firewall to the aircon motor, and then from the aircon motor to the condensor that are different between the 1.8 and 2.0 litre engines.
