does any one know of a place in Vic that supplies decent types of alloy tube? mandrel bends in alloy as well as straight pipe?

i have heard good things about this place http://www.jntperformance.com.au/index.html but its to far away and ordering takes time..

same grade alloy for intercooler pipes etc...


any help would be great..

Jay, alloy bends are usually fabricated from donuts.

As for mandrel bent stuff, I used plazmaman. Local alloy I actually haven't found as yet. You could call bjp or trick fab who may have donuts that have been welded in stock.

Otherwise ss bends go to tube sales

Try Boss Alumunium - I got a fair few alloy mandrel bends from him a few years ago. They specialise in custom fabricated alloy toolboxes and tray boxes etc, but they might still be able to help.

i can get pretty cheap donut halves and straight pipe in 1.6mm aluminium. can you do tig welding jay?

Just keep in mind that a lot of the mandrel bent stuff for bull bars, tool boxes etc are measured differently and are usually thicker walled alloy. I remember getting off cuts from a bull bar joint.

yer, i have one, need to practice alloy welding..

to be honest i just need 2inch alloy pipe about half meter long, for an experiment....

As Dougmo pointed out to me, Enzed is the best place by far for high grade alu tubes, bends, reducers, bellmouths, etc.

Theyre in dandy tho.
