Hey guys, this is my first post on this new to the VR4 Engine, its a beast in process :p 550 kw the aim. so bear with me :) when i first got the car, the dude who owned it before me put the wrong polarities onto the battery when jump starting it, frying a bowl of fuses and the altenator, replaced all that, possibly not all the fuses but car drives well-ish so allguds, got a new 2nd hand altenator, now that i look at the front pully there appears to be no nut or bolt holding the pully on, dont know what happened there, theres a bit of play in it also, will get round to finding something that fits in that lil hole. but my main problem is that the altenator seems to be making a ticking noise, my friend whos a mechanic said that its the altenator bearing, just wondering where this is located in relation to the rest of the altenator and how to get at it.

Cheers all

Car has few more bugs, have posts up :)

550kw?? Good luck!
Who's going to be doing the work for you?

alot of the stuff that i cannot do has been done, all the bottom end is fully ready for it, gearbox recondioned, etc, i can do a bunch of it myself, and a couple of my closest friends are fully certified mechanics and auto electricians, dont want to be bothering them with what they would consider dum questions lol

I would think it is inside the alternator itself.

BIG power aspirations, should be awesome to build :)

cheers, its just a bunch of dum stuff like that im not quite fully up to speed on..
should be seeing it on the front page of performance car once its done :) watch out redline performance VR4 here i come! :D
