Just wondering if anyone is running a boot mounted fuel cell in either there track car or occasional road car wouldn't mind seeing some pics and tank sizes if you have any

Cheers

i'm actually in the process of revising fuel setup for my E1 track car, no pics yet, but it will be somthing like the Bond roll bar magna, but with internal surge. It will be a dry-break setup and the decision currently is to whether to have it where back seat use to be or in the boot.

as i said lads, that ain't mine, that pic is the bond roll bar Mitsi Magna, but it will be something like that...

I am running factory tank with surge behind drivers side rear wheel. This is my old setup with 1.5ltr surge tank. Have since changed to a 7ltr surge with twin pumps which fits nice and snugly in the same space. No fumes :)

20L fuel cell would be more than adequate for a track car IMO.

A tip that I was given by a mate experienced in building race cars is to not mount the fuel cell directly to the boot floor, but to stand it off using spacers and longer bolts, so that if in the event of an impact and the floor moves, there is less of a chance of the fuel cell splitting because the spacers will mean it won't travel with the boot floor as it shifts.
