anyone in melb wanna make $50? I purchased a CC GSR and trying to figure out why the radiator fan isnt working. there is some wiring the previous owner did, tapped into the radiator fuse for some reason but i can tell you more about it for whoever wants to do the job. i just want the fan working with the ECU triggers like from factory..sigh.

Get the fan relay and pop the cover off the top.
Replace relay and press the top contacts together with the key on.
Does the fan run?

Then with the relay pulled, does one of the small relay contacts have power with the key on?

If so, then the other small relay contact is the trigger wire. When it is earthed, the fan will run.

It will be earthed by the ecu, or by a temp sender in the radiator (my sender is in the thermostat cover). You need to find your wire, and trace it. Where does it go? It will either go to bottom of radiator or the ecu

can you do this bit ^ ?
fan relay is labelled and in the relay box next to the battery.
pull the relay out, pull the cover off it and then you can see how it works. the top plate presses down to make the contacts and run the fan.

Pretty sure radiator fan isnt triggered by the ecu, it has a sensor in the bottom of the radiator.
I'd be happy to have a look at it for you if you havent got it sorted already.

can be triggered by ecu or by radiator switch. depends if it is a early or late cc gsr. series 1 or 2.

dunno, as mine is triggered by a sender on the engine, not the bottom of the radiator. but how many temp senders do you have in your radiator?

and, as mine is different can someone else tell me how many is standard for the gsr. (is it 1 or 2?)
