easy short shift, but if you change the length of your gear leaver its harder to put into gear....

have tried this before, does work, and sometimes well. but can have issues, as said, hard to get into gears, extreme cases wears your shifter cables abnormally. and puts extra pressure on the crap plastic bushes in the shifter itself.

the remedy is to upgrade to MEEK brass bushes :D

Im not attemping it but, just never seen a mod like this before on a gearbox

Im putting a short shifter kit though though mine, its hard to see my TV with the long shifter

i ment the plastic bushes in the shifter mech inside the cabin crap out. the brass bushes are good, but you can get some stake board bearings that fit perfect and work gold.

hahaha i like that one. iv tryed it once almost crashed!

it really is not an uncommon thing, it gets done on lots of other models too. when doing a conversion using a vr4 or evo box into a cb gsr you need to do it, or open up the box and change the whole arm over. the problems only start when you go to far.

What kind of bearings do you have for your shifter using the skate board bearings? Are there different sizes of bearings? It's a really good idea and i am gonna try it! :)

cant remember what size they are sorry, just pop out a rubber insert out of the sifter and take it to a bearing place or skate shop. they are a pretty tight fit but good. and work really well.

I tried that mod years ago, it sucked, so I reverted it back to stock. It just gave you no "feel" back through the gear lever and shortened the throw too much.
