Hey there,
Waiting for Mio to get back from holidays to talk to him about chipping my ecu but i have a hks fuel cut defender here.

Has anyone tried one to remove boost cut? what model did it need to be? this one is a type k? 5 wires hanging out of it etc
Cheers,
Shaun

Mate,
there is no point installing it. If you go for higher boost, timing map is a bit advanced and your knock sensor will back it of which will end up with almost same power as you run now. I used to run apexi SAFC with 560cc injectors and that removes boost cut to certain amount by lying to ecu how much the airflow is and knowing that ecu calculates the load using airflow per sec. increases the boost cut. If you have the evoscan, send me your log to see what is it doing at the moment.

Cheers,
Miodrag

i have safc..how did u get rid of boost cut with that??? i just wanna run 18psi without hitting boost cut in typical tassie weather. i have evoscan now so i'll start logging now and have it all ready for you mio..thinking of just getting it socketed, chipped, and just getting rid of boost cut and speed cut cos if my safc is still hooked up it would make the modded ecu go haywire??

Problem is if i send you my log details, if will still be using my safc so it will be wrong in logs yeah?

You're probable using safc to lean out only top end under boost to make mixture leaner.
I've used manual rvr ecu which controls stock 510cc injectors and I have 560cc injectors, so i had to lean/compensate for bigger injectors right through low and high settings in safc. My base compensation was -20% so ecu was getting a lot lower airflow reading then what it was.
As for the safc being hooked up, I still have mine hooked up and there is no issues whatsoever. I use it for knock readings and Airflow readings. btw: what highest airflow reading do you see on safc as well as knocks?
Also, if you can do some logs just do it and send it to me, it will still be what car runs at the moment and that's what matters. I've got my laptop with me and access to net so you could send it any time.
