I've just done an engine swap, putting a forged aspec motor into my jspec and I'm almost ready to start her up next weekend, just want to be sure which wires, if any, need to be swapped over at the ecu (I do recall having to swap wires when swapping from aspec to jspec ecu, just can't remember which ones).

I would just have a look at the wire colours at the plugs on the ecu but I won't have acces to the car till the weekend...

edit: fix autocorrect spelling

should be extra wires on the Jspec loom (Cyclone intake), other wise should be the same..... there was one wire that changed pin over the years, something to do with the Maf and a reset....

Essentially, wires only have to be swapped over of the ECU is being changed as well. I think you are still using the same ECU? If you are using the ASpec inlet manifold, just leave the cyclone manifold solenoid plug hanging.. it just wont operate anything...

Cheers for the help guys.

Mike, I'm using the Jspec ecu with ecmlink from the burgundy vr4 and plan on getting it running somewhat ok with that and then go from there, meanwhile the burgundy vr4 has an ominous knocking noise which sounds very much like a big end to me...so i have deemed that it no longer needs its ecu...
