OK all you Autronic users out there! Where have you installed your MAP sensors? I'm thinking in the intercooler piping just before the throttle body, but have heard others say they have put it on the throttle body itself.

Do you mean temp sensor?

The Map sensor itself is built into the unit.

I'd basically put the temp sensor anywhere that will provide the most accurate air temp reading going into the engine.

I've had it after the t/b (tapped into the intake manifold)
Now I've got it right before the t/b.

Both my MAP feed and Air Temp Sensor are tapped into the Plenum

Oh, if you are referring to MAP vac point, you need to get both vac and pressure so after the butterfly.

Ace - thanks gents. I was thinking of the temp sensor that comes with the unit, I'd forgotten that the MAP sensor lives in the unit.

But you've answered my next question - where to tap the MAP sensor!! So thanks again!

Yep, tap the MAP sensor in the side or top of the plenum, not the lower part of the plenum.
And for those who are running external/individual MAP sensors, make sure they are always mounted higher than the vac feed from the intake plenum.
The air intake temp sensor is usually mounted just before the throttle body in the icoola piping because the heatsoak from intake manifolds can give off incorrect air intake temp readings.

Goodstuff - I'm taking the car to my rollcage fabricator next weekend for some more work, so I'll get him to weld a bung into the alloy piping for the temp sensor.

Bosch (this will apply to any other branded sensor) suggest to mount map sensors vertically if possible to avoid any condensation on the sensor itself. Mounting it as per picture above would be good enough.
