Big cyclone is comming to blow Team4g Townsville Away

Hey guys some of you might know already but there is a Cat 4 cyclone heading for the north Queensland coast. Its going to hit very close to Townsville tomorrow morning . There is going to be a big strom surge and they are already evacuating some of the northern beaches. My problem is I have know where undercover to park my Vr4. But on the bright side my boss told me not to come into work. So I shall keep you all updated as we get blown away cheers.

Not too worry folks - Townsville is only experiencing annoying strong winds and rain that wont seem to go away!

No damage as such and probably only a half day off work

Still... another cyclone is brewing about 72 hours away lol

According to the latest up date the cyclone thats still out too see is strait towards the VILLE.... thats shit house! When it rains it pours.. good old far north qld. haha

my sister moved up to brissy a few years back and reckons they get heaps weird storms. like green skies and stuff :shock: :lol:

but no cyclones... has there ever been cyclones in brissy?

not real sure but up our end of the woods it either doesnt rain for so long that everything dries out and dies or it rains so much shit floods cause it aint got time to soak up.. haha one thing or the other, i have heard of brissy get some mad electrical storms but not too sure about cyclones..

Quite a few years back, in the 80?s I think, the night before x mass a massive cyclone hit there and wipe out a quite a large part of Brisbane and did some major damage. The big thing was that everyone was warned about it coming but not many prepared for it.

Agreed, however if you're talking about Canberra we have had one fire (admittedly a bloody big one) in the last 100 years. Thats not fire prone.

This really suck I work for Queensland Rail as a Radio Tech and we have so much to do its not funny, all our coms are down from Cardwell up and we have had 3 radio towers blown over. But to top it all off we can't get past Tully due to flooding, also there is no power north of Cardwell so we have to run generators up to our sites to charge the battery banks until Ergon fixes the power. But we cant stay up there because there is no accommodation available we have to run up and back every day :evil:. It is going to take a very long time for all of this to be cleaned up and fixed, but never fear there is another one on the way :roll:
