ok ive been wondering, is a 16G BIG just a 16G Small thats been highflowed or are the housings different all together?

also do they bolt to the same manifold?
any assistane is greatly appreciated

cheers :)

Same manifold

Different turbine wheel

Different compressor wheel

"big" 16g's flow about 50cfm more than a "small" 16g. All info is in the turbo part numbers thread in mitsub tech.

turbine wheels are the same across all TD05H's, as thats what the TD05 refers too.

Yes VR4 and Lancer EVO1-3 all have the same TD05H turbine wheel. That's what the number TD05H is it means the type of turbine wheel.

the housings are definately different, but the wheels are the same size, hence why u can swap 060 and 070 housings between 14b's and 16g's

correct

all of them have the same rear wheel.
theres two rear housings 6cm (.60) and 7 cm (.70)

The 14 b got the 6 cm and both small and big 16 G got the 7cm housing.

The 14B has the smallest of the front side..the 16 G is larger, then the big 16G larger again...each has an accompanying larger front housing to fit the wheels.

so if i wanna upgrade a turbo but not have to change manifolds and down pipes and stuff then what options have i got.
im after something that doesnt run outta breath as quick as my current setup. is it possible? or is it just worth changing all the rest of it to an aftermarket better flowing setup?

14b, 16g, big16g, evo3 16g, 18g, 20g... see the turbo selection thread in this section of the forums, all your questions are already answered in there
