Eagle H beam rods $150 Now read this carefully, They are 6 bolt rods that have been bored at the big end to suit a 7 bolt crank, they come with the Venolia pistons which are 6 bolt 85.5mm. When I had the engine rebuilt for some reason 2 of the gudgon clips weren't put in right an 1 came out another was on its way out. Looking at the pistons, 3 are fine an I think no 4 could be repaired or machined to take C clips as the have spiral locks at the mo.
I had to have the block machined out to get rid of the scores so couldn't reuse the pistons, I had planned on running the rods but I had already bought a set of Cosworth 7 bolt pistons when we discovered the deal with the rods.

Cheers Dan

So I've got a 6 bolt that I'm about to rebuilt. So in theory I could use these rods and pistons if I use a 7 bolt crank correct obviously also boring out the cylinders to fit the oversize pistons

Tell me again about the rods?
Afaik. To convert the rods from 6bolt to 7bolt you need to make the big end narrower not bore them..
Can you vernier the big end, the small end and the big end width?
Its only whan making 7bolt pistons fit the 6bolt rods that boring is done and it is the small end..

Did I read carefully?

LOL i think you did read carefully,

big end, no bearing 48.11mm
small end, has bearing 20.97
big end width 26.36mm

Above was measured with digital callipers so it should be reasonably accurate.

Thanks.
From the manley catalogue they say big end for both is 1.890" (48.006mm) big end width for 6 bolt is 1.115" (28.321mm) and 7bolt is 1.038" (26.365mm) small ends are as we know 6bolt suits 21mm pin and 7bolt suits 22mm pin.

Ok cool. Thanks for measuring.
