hey guys,

i just installed my new e-bay bleed valve... the one that was described in another post...

firstly, i'd like to say that i'm not bagging the product, it seems it's ok, and i'm sure it's my fault that it doesn't work, i just can't work out why.

i disconnected my old bleed valve and installed new hoses and ran them the same way as my old ones.
the only thing is, my old hose had a t-piece with a hose that went to the bleed valve, but no return hose, so now, i have deleted the t-piece and ran the hose into the bleed valve and out of the outlet and connecting to the same point the old one went to.

no matter where i adjust the valve to, it still won't boost past 7psi.

also, there is a vacuum line that goes from the j-pipe off the turbo, to the intercooler pipe next to the BOV. this line has a t-piece in it with a hose that goes to the wastegate actuator/bleed valve line, is this required?

thanks! sorry about the long post, i hope it makes sense!

Mat :)

did you buy the ball and spring one?

remind me tomorrow to get a picture of how mine is setup

basically, its one end from the aircan thing to the controller, and the other end goes to the wastegate

thats it

I have one of these as well.

I previously had a bleed (tap).

All you should of needed to do, was remove the tap and install in the same location, you should still need the T piece (vacum - Wastegate - Freeair(inlet side of turbo(aircleaner)

this is what i did...

is it possible that the inlet and outlet are around the wrong way?

the hose that goes from one cooler pipe to the other... (standard piping) is it required?

You have to bleed the boost out somewhere (its still just a bleed valve)
Is is just inline between the wastegate and after turbo intake pipe ?

yeah
i had mine around the wrong way for ages, but i could never be bothered to put it the right way

try reversing it and see if it works

also, check if the ball or spring is stuck inside

when you had it around the wrong way, was it running stock boost?

yep

it should have a restrictor of some sort (smaller hole in one end than the other)
the smaller hole should be on the wastegate side i think...........

bloody haven't used / installed a bleed valve in aggggges

ive just been fiddling around with it this morning, swapped the hoses around and stuff... still nothing! i'm confused! :?
