So finally got the vr4 registered then day 2 it starts blowing a ton of white smoke thought it was the turbo so replaced it, found oil in the cooler piping and obviously in the exhaust.

Got it all back together took it for a test drive basically noone could see me for about 100m behind me lol. Got back home noticed oil coming out of the exhaust manifold. It idles fine but im yet to do a compression test ill do it after i buy some jim beam :)

im guessing after being raped for a few years, rolling down a mountain 4 times then sitting for 6 years the poor engine needs a rebuild? lol

Sounds like jamo.down kangaroo valley.... lol

I didnt roll mine but....just did a 100kmh ice skating event through wire fencing in the pitch black.
At least I didnt hit any trees but, Sean.... did I now?

100kmh still scary. A mate of mine wrote off a 600hp 34 gtr a few weeks ago coming around a corner at 200 and lost it. worst thing was it wasnt his car. Well known gtr aswell.

Well did a compression test showing 110 across all 4 seems low...oh and i fixed the smoking looks like i installed my catch can wrong LOL!!!

Boost pressurizing the crankcase ?? I saw that done on a VR4 the other week .. gee did that chug some smoke !

^^ Yeah , I read that, and I was wondering how it was installed wrong ?? A lot of the time it is to do with the PCV valve being removed, and boost going straight into the crank case.. I'm not sure how a catch can ( that's usually vented) could cause bad engine smoking ?? I have seen the breather from the rocker cover going to the drain of the catch can , then filling with oil and effectively seal off the actual breathing hose with sludgy oil settling at the lowest point... then pressurizing the crankcase and pushing oil up past the turbo rear seal...
