Hey guys,

I've got a 1990 vr4 and today its been blowing out a fair amount of white smoke. I've been doing a fair bit of driving (slow and fast) and my oil or my coolant level hasn't gone down. I also haven't found any leaks.

The car is running perfect boosting fine and still pulls hard. It does seem to be idling a bit low. (around 700-800)

The smoke seems to be coming out mostly at low rpm and when the revs pick up it goes away...

Some one help!?

Does it smoke when you first start it up? If so, it may be oil seals in the turbo.

What tends to happen is that the oil will drip into the dump pipe from the seals while the car is sitting, then when you start the car and the dump pipe heats up it burns the oil that's sitting in there.

You won't notice the oil level going down if it is turbo seals as it'll only burn whatever oil is in the turbo at the time, it won't be enough to notice but it will be enough to create smoke.
