Bonnet pins

Hey guys, bought some of these flush bonnet catches. Just wondering if anyone has a pair on their gsr/ Evo? Would like to see what position you've fitted them.

You wont have a great deal of choice with position.
The pins need to be attached to the radiator support to be effective.

I have these exact catches on my EVO1-3 bonnet. I actually drilled my own holes in the radiator support to put the catches exactly where I wanted them. If you use some of the free holes in the radiator support panel you end up installing the catches partially on the side of the power bulge.

Thanks for the pic, any chance you could measure how far from the sides they are fitted?

I don’t think I could bring myself to cut up a genuine one unless I had 5 spares!

In my case I had no choice, as i had to remove the factory bonnet catch as part of my radiator support panel change.

It took me a while to work up the nerve to put a drill to a factory evo bonnet that's for sure!

I need to do this on my vr4... Cf bonnet...

I'm thinking maybe I should use an easier product...

How did you cut yours shayne? Do lots of holes or a die grinder?

I used a hole-saw to get the ends, then a cutting wheel on the dremel to cut the straight edges and then the metal die-grinding bit in the dremel to massage it all to fit.

Yeah thats how i would cut the hole too. But the vid has some good tips for install
