Yes i know,a Much discussed topic.

Id just like to know for sure,is the boost cut (the hard cut that comes in around 13-14 pound) removed by....

Upgrading the computer
OR
Upgrading the fuel pump

For the first i was told its a written in condition of the computer to cut at a certain "volume" of air.

The second i was told is a lack of return flow to the pump,Therefore hits a cut,(Solved by getting a larger pump and increasing the return flow)

Anyone know for SURE which is the cause?

And if it is the computer, can it be removed by a piggy back chip..eg Chiptorque etc...

Thanks.

Jamie,
To remove it the easiest option is a new chip :)

It is actually based on airflow not fuel or boost.
When the computer "sees" that the airflow into the motor is too high it will cut the fuel and spark giving you the "cut".

Mine doesn't have it anymore and all I do is keep an eye on the knock-gauge
to make sure it's no having a melt-down on me.

Hopefully that wasn't too confusing mate, if anyone else has a clearer way of describing it please feel free to chime in :D
