BOV Plumbing

On the legal side its illegal to have a bov event to atmosphere.
But what it you plumbed it to before the air filter / air box in an rvr, you still get to sound (which does nothing) would this be illegal????

If you run a maf, you need to recirc to after the maf or you will run rich after gearchanges. If its a oem bov, at idle you will also be pulling in un filtered/ unmetered air.

If you have a big open style air filter, you will be able to hear the bov just fine.
I have a big k&n mounted in the fender, and a hard intake pipe and a metal oem bov. I can hear the bov from inside the car with windows up. Also can hear the turbo spool up as it comes on. But that might be the exhaust.

I reckon a k&n in the airbox, and a cold air pipe and you will hear the bov

no maf us map with haltech e8. maf still in place with wiring, guts taken out it looks legal under the bonnet.

Sorry possum. If I had of been in desktop version I would have seen your signature says haltech not oem ecu.

From my understanding with wa laws, if you can hear the bov, its illegal.
