Hey guys,

Wanted to see what all you 4G63 people used for brake booster lines after you removed the 4G93T from your GSR. The Galant's intake manifold has the booster nipple on the other end of the plenum, so the standard hose won't reach I imagine. Looking at available hoses, theres MB618664 which was used in 87-89 Galants, then there's MB668209 which replaced the previous hose, and according to ASA, has an internal valve. I'll have to check the GSR hose, but I never noticed a bulge where a valve could be, or is the valve located inside the brake booster possibly?
Would much prefer to buy the $25 hose over the $55 hose if I can..
Note, can't just use some dodgy vacuum line, traffic cops over here would have a field day..

Valves inside the hose, can cut it out buut better off joining in with a one way valve or as Ian said, just cut the old one out

I'm guessing i need the hose with the valve to prevent boost pressure getting to the brake booster correct?
Any idea why the earlier cars didn't have these valves??

Yeah Im not sure why earlier cars didnt, no booster? Dunno, but they use the valve to only let vaccum past which helps ya brake pedal soften, so without it makes braking hard, I went for a spin round the block to see the effect... found out its a must have
