Brake line woes..

I tried putting my braided brake lines in last night but when I went to undo the hard line from the rubber one the bolt sort of just rounded off . Does anyone have a trick to getting these off? I did spray it before I had a crack too..

It's best to use a flair nut spanner (I'd you didn't already do that). Might be a vice grips job if its totally rounded

^ yeahp and if vice grips dont work. Cut the end of , replace the lock nut and re-flare the pipe

I always use vice grips straight away. My tube spanners are not much good.

Another thing ive done is get the other end undone and passed a ring spanner down the pipe line.

or you can use heat initially to expand the pipe connector , just make sure you havent sprayed any releasing agent on already since it goes poof

Yep, lockable vice grips here too as the first port of call.
Spanners will just round them off if theyve been together for years.
