What pads is everyone using on the track and how long are they lasting?

The current pads I have haven't lasted me as long as I expected.

Also are the pads streetable or do you change pads at the track?

Ferodo DS2500's /endthread

Havent used mine on the track yet, but there great on the street. after four or five medium stops from cold they're warmed up. i've driven them in anger and the more i abused them the more they liked it.

from reviews i have read they're on the same level as EBC green stuff's on paper, but shit on them from a great height when compared on the track.

It will be interesting to see how you go on the track with them. My pads lasted 90 mins on the track.

If I went anywhere near Ferodo I would get DS3000.

What I am looking for is actual use on the track and not spirited driving on the street.

obviously your after something a bit more than the bloke who tracks his daily once a month then

I only track once a month. You get 4 runs which are roughly 7 minutes each. 3 months and that's 90 mins and there is the end of your pads.

i used ferodo ds2500.. and they were fine no fade or anything like that..

but if you want to go better than that, just go the pmu hc+.

isnt it a given that more braking performance is more wear?

i guess your not asking for the best, more like what does the job but lasts a long time.

i think 90 minutes of track time for a set of pads is pretty good really.

Ive been useing Eligs through GTPumps they ahve done three tracks days and normally last for the remainder of the year with normal driving

I run slotteds disks(elcheapo generic)and they last around 2 years ;) with around 6-10 track days

Last year I just bought new disks and sold off the half worn ones. before 08 Enats

QFM?

I drive with them all year I have only run track pads for just over 4 years Ive no idea what heavy duty pads are like as from past experiences they just aren't any chop.

I'm just used to warming into my breaking when i first drive off.

Yes QFM Pads. They have been fantastic just I was a little disappointed with the life span.

So you would agree then that 3 track days and a road sprint would kill the pads.

mate iv'e had EBC green,DS2500 and just about to
get some QFM,
the DS2500 are just as good as the EBC green, got
5-6 track days out of both on the gsr.
i'll see how the QFM stack up.
