Hi

I'm looking for any suggestions or opinions of mechanics in Brisbane, with knowledge and experience working on RVRs and the 4G63T Evo III motor and driveline.

Thanks.

What are you looking to do mate?
Sorry, just saw your other post....
The car has been off the road for a couple of years and needs some work.

I have springs and shocks for the front that need to be installed with bump stops.

Idle stepper motor has shat itself so that needs looking into. Clutch cable needs adjusting.

It used to start fine, but now looks like the fuel pump is gone, so that needs replacing.

all things i could do but i'm no mechanic and currently have zero time to aswell. i love wrenching but latly 7 day weeks have my time filled

I remember reading about and seeing a place near the M1 Springfield area that had a heap of Evos out the front.

I can't seem to find anything online regarding it though.

Springfield or Springwood? (M1 doesn't go through Springfield....) You might have seen C&J Motorsport on Kingston Rd with the evo's, got an awd dyno. Probs charge more than you want to pay for what you've mentioned. Where are you located?

That's the one! I had a feeling it might have been a performance shop.

I'm at Rocklea.

The thing is I just want someone that has worked on the car before. No point takingit somewhere if they can't find a part to fit.

Find the parts info from here and buy the parts then take it to your mechanic or just give him the info required, mainly for shocks, isc's are pretty straoght forward,
And what happened to na autosport/ or motorsport, what ever their name is, at one point werent they the place to go? Probably be quite pricey though

^ This and that. Lol

The work you've mentioned isn't overly complicated. Those tuning shops will charge like a wounded bull.
I'm not sure if VR4 ISC's are the same but if they are, I have a spare here you can have and I'm at Springwood.
So is Nigel, and his dealership is on the same street as NA Motorsports so you have a few options in this area.
I'd highly recommend Nigel. It just depends if he has the time, busy man of late.
He did a head job for a mate of mine with an RVR. Went well until ol mate threw diesel in the tank. Haha

I'm at Fairfield, just up the road from you really. If you need bumpstops made up then Fulcrum is down the road from you too in Rocklea, they can do all suspension stuff for you- or if you want to save some cash bring it over to my place (once running...) and use my garage space and tools to install the struts yourself, it's not difficult and I can help you with it.

Nigel from springwood mitsi is good he is a mates mate... i have a mate who is a qualified mechanic but pretty busy at the moment he does all my builds engine wise.. also if you need a idle control thingy you can take mine if you can't find one (in carina) mate lives in drewvale Trinity Motorsports.
