Busted engine mounts and shift issues

Ive got some pretty flogged out engine mounts in my car at the moment and ive been having issues with reverse staying in and also sometimes non engaging 4th gear it all feels shifter related , not so much the box . Just wondering what other people think of this ? Would it be possible for mounts to cause issues like this ?

yes, if your north/south mounts are slogged out it can effect shifting

Fill them with sikaflex of replace them.
Should fix your shift issues too. As dougmo said

yeah they are really bad ive got some prothane inserts coming so that should help things i hope thanks guys
