Buying A EVO From J-Spec Imports

hi guys im looking at buying a evo from J-Spec Imports, just wondering if anyone here has bought one before... all the steps that needed to be taken... i'm looking at a evo 6

The TME seems pretty cheap for what it is. Usually cheap means bad but you never know.

I know Kristian (Iron Chef) and he's good too.

Just make sure with whoever you import through you're very firm with them and don't let them convince you to get something you don't want.

yeah thats what i mean seems to cheap... their is a white evo 6 on ebay, going for 12k, with a reserve he said he will take 17k but 120,000kms on the clock oh n its in south australia

my mate told me to wait 6 months n the prices of them will be all around 18k

like im after a stock as one, no mods, so thats hard... either silver or white...

as for J-spec imports, they dont have contact number i had to email... n yeah u dont get too see the car or test drive it.... like it looks to be repainted, that front bar way to mint...

Just a question how can you test drive a car in Japan??

Email them; Ben (I think he is part owner) is living in Japan and if you ask him he may go have a look himself and let you know if it is OK.

Apart from that I myself Have not heard of anyone having issues with j-spec! I met Ben a while back when shopping for the leggie he seems a legit guy and someone into cars.

Email them, he gets back to you pretty quickly.

Remeber the old saying "You get what you pay for"...?

It holds true with buying these things from yards, if tis too cheap, there is always a reason.

well they r very fast to reply to my emails, i am dealing with him atm with the silver one... u can pay extra to get a inspection/report done on the car + 150 extra pictures car be sent, but thats $300+ n u dont know if they do it themselfs...

as for the white one is south australia his has 130,000kms but said its a great car... his only wanting 17,000 + i could test drive it n see it... looks clean n everything...

or i could just wait n not rush, more will come up i guess

I have checked out that white 6 on ebay in SA. It drives ok but is a PIG. Needs oil seals, basically whole respray to clean it up nice. It's been daily driven by his wife to move the kids around, so the whole interior is ratty aswell.

always the case isnt it.
thats why its always better to inspect in person.

cheers for that, the guy said it was mint inside n out, just had damage mark on drivers door n the front bar had little mark... he said its great except that... well i know not to waiste my time... thanks so much for that...

Yeah saw that one. The silver one is sold he just emailed me today. There will be more that come up so I guess I can take my time now. I'm still unsure if I wanna buy one from there still. We will see what happens. Thanks guys anyways I will keep my eye out
