Went Calder yesterday, waited an hour and a half for my first run because some drag car spilt oil all over the track and they had to clean it all up! Launched at 5.5k using the handbrake, didn't get the best launch it sort of just moved forward and then launched. Managed an 11.8 @ 119mph with a 1.8 60ft in full street trim. For my first time driving a manual car at the drags I was pretty happy with that! Only managed the one run because the line was even bigger the 2nd time around and it started spitting so I bailed haha. So next I plan to drop in a walbro 400 and tune on E-flex, then launch without handbrake @ 6.5k should bring my time down

Saw your car at the car park area, I was standing near the red TME. I left during that oil spill cleanup.
The red TME ran an 11.46 @ 120.95mph with 1.6 60'.
Yep that was me! I saw the red tommy mak nice looking car and that's a great time for it too! What turbo is he running? Is it still 2.0litre or stroked?

The red TME is running my old turbo (HKS 7460R). He has a very basic setup with a stock block, stock dump pipe, 255 walbro, 750cc (100ulp), 264 cams, decat.
Burnzy tuned aswell with ~ 260kws on vdr. - Unorthodox tunining though with very aggressive timing. + Anitilag. 1.8bar.

There's ANDRA rules which mean that anything running quicker than a 11.99 means you have to comply with all sorts of bullshit rules and regulations which at the end of the day costs $$$$. All for 3 runs over 5-6 hours. I know for a fact that myself and an a few other guys don't intend on racing at Calder... Heathcote is still the best spot and the 'Test n Tune' Sundays aren't ANDRA sanctioned so worries about having to comply for Bob Jane
