Help Support 4GTuner:

someone told you bullshit....having said that it depends on the lift as to wether the stock valve spring will coil bind.

Cams like the BC272 can be used on a stock spring....I have a set of these brand new if you want to get a measurement.

VR4,evo 1,2&3 interchange.

Depends on the cam lift as Brian said.
As a rule of thumb for our 4G63 engines, I would strongly advise that if your cam lift is going to be above 10.2mm+, then you will need to replace the oem valve springs with some aftermarket h/duty valve springs to handle the higher lift without risk of binding.

just thought I'd put it out there but ramp rates will play a part in the valve spring issue too, eg kelford 272's are very aggressive and will more than likely cause float, but im not an expert just thought I'd mention it

Thanks for all the info go still a bit confused over the hole cam thing lol.so if I change my springs I should be able to run any 272 cams?

Any one got any cams for sale?
