Can Injectors be too big?

is this all going on a 1.8l?

if so my advice as someone who has just done it

td05 16g evo afm 510cc's and evo ecu from what your saying this will net you factory esk results and as i just found today beter fuel economy i did 345km highway and just filled up with only 25l of fuel.

also caged 14.7 afr on e85 thats quite lean for flex fuel consider stoich for e85 is like 12.5:1

Yep, That's the exact setup I will be doing on my 4g93.

How have you found the upgrade?
Power wise and day to day reliability?

excelent couldn't be happier the td05 lacked alot of punch when i ran it with the std ecu afm and 390's cruising the guage read the same as sitting at idle.

now with the rest of the evo gear spool is much quicker (still not as fast as a td04l) but pulls to much higher in the rev range. idle is the same as stock the biggest dif i've noticed is at cruise guage pressure read about half that of idle so the turbo is always ready to spool up and provide boost when you want it

No idea where you got 12.5:1 from, on nearly 99% of widebands we use they calculate lambda and then convert to the gas/petrol scale. So 14.7 is lamda 1 or stoich. On an alcohol wideband lamda 1 is 9.765. I also tune leaner than 14.7 on cruise if the ignition is up to it.

Yes, I have read this. That peak economy is leaner than 14.7. We only use stoichio as it is the lowest emmisions.
I thought I saw a option for the ecmlink to run in closed loop at a different afr? Or certainly there is a offset in the wideband to allow leaner cruise.
How lean do you cruise at?

On Honda's right into the 16's. On a 63 with cams in the 15's. Have also done a 383 turbo ls1 that gained heaps of fuel economy goining into the 15's on a reflashed factory ECU and no closed loop. You can use a zeitronics wideband, they have a narrowband output that is user set.

I find if i go too lean, the car can run a bit rough at a steady state (buckle) or lack response on quick accel off cruise.

Different setups will react currently with different afr's.

Also keep in mind lean = more heat. Sometimes chasing that perfect afr won't necessarily make you more power so by running a bit richer you are losing economy but keeping the piston art a lower temp. This is important in my books.

Wot / max power running is easily achieved on the dyno but hard on the street sure to safety etc. Cruise is best achieved on the street due to the random stary stop conditions.

I spent about 1 year playing with one setup and only changing the tune. The difference in character and efficiency was amazing with the suggest of changes.

If you do plan on going big injectors, you can't beat the Bosch ID / EV gas injectors.

Awesome! That what I was hoping for.
Did you choose to go with injectors from an evo 3,
Or just a set of 510's?
I've found a set from a IV for sale which are 510.

Don't always believe what they say lol, there were some 510cc for sale on this forum for $100 not so long ago

Haha. Yea I've made that mistake before.
I know i will find some locally (Australia ), its just there eBay prices are so damn tempting.

ask for a picture if both side of the top plug it is molded into the housing if they can't supply this with a return guarantee steer clear.
