Can microtech control cyclone intake?

hey guys, so i got a vr4 motor in a GSR running a microtech. Now, has anybody got the microtech to trigger the butterfly to open/close to get the full benefits of the cyclone intake?
As i have been playing around with the cyclone, yes indeed there is a improvement low down in the revs but once the turbo boosts up the butterfly closed/or opened doesnt boost past 8 psi(standard) and feels...crap pretty much high in the rev range.
Once we disconnected the actuator top end revs increased dramatically and boosted to 10psi but idle isnt great and slow on the lower side of the rev range.
So if anyone can help, that would be awesome.

It's a microtech lt-8.
I would think have it running off vac so it's closed no throttle and open under full throttle. Then get it tuned like that. The tune will be able to bring the ratios good. Currently motor is tuned to an Evo 3 motor so the air flow will be very different with shorter runners and smaller ports, and no butterfly flange. So it's probably fluctuating between rich and lean. Retune with the bigger ports, runners and butterfly flanges should make it a lot better.
Or put the na mani on. But will still need tune.
 
You need to do 2 power runs and log the rpm. 1 with runners open and 1 with runners closed. Overlay the 2 and pick your switching point.

Do you have any spare outputs on the ecu?

I was thinking it could be a boost trigger. Like switch the runners anytime over 5psi boost?
 
or rpm based - ie: could use a pwm as tacho output to drive the actuator

I think airflow should be the real trigger, if possible. (boost as second and probably easier option). Cause part throttle and high revs (cruising in top gear) may be ok on the small runners. But full throttle and full boost at same revs may need big runners to breathe.
 
so in saying that, would it be just better to get the actuator mod done which is driven off boost pressure?

why do these guys use T25 actuators? wouldnt it be more beneficial to open it up at earlier PSI?
