Its my old man's pajero, car stalls most of the times the air con is switched on, anyone got any clue what it might be? spark plugs maybe?

I use to have this problem when I first put the engine in the Sonata.. When the car was revving, it would be fine, but when you would idle it would stall...

Off memory, it was the idle switch... When we upgraded the ecu and put in the aftermarket intake it never happened.... But it sounds like all you may have to do is just adjust the idle... If that does not fix it, maybe it is an ECU thing, and may require it to be looked at or reset...

When you turn the aircon on the engine has to keep itself running and run the air compressor/condensor whatever.

This means the engine is working harder.

If the idle isn't set high enough it will stall. Just warm the car up turn the a/c on and wind the idle up until it stops stalling.

Generally there is an idle screw on the thottle body.

Or you may need to tighten the throttle cable.

Grab the book for the car $30 well spent...

my old carby CC done that big time. the fast idle controller didn't kick in quick enough to handle it. engine was so worn i had to idle it up to 1100 for the air con instead of the usual 850
