Trying to get my hands on a pair of carbon front guards and rear boot for my gsr. Found a company that make the boot in CF but having trouble with the front guards. Reason I'm going down this route is front right guard has a small dint in it and if I'm going to get it fixed and reprinted I would rather go a wider evo style panel. Anyone help point me in the right direction? Company in NZ does cf panels and haven't had a reply from them yet

racepro in nz do them but they are for a full kit. by that i mean the widened guards fit their front bumper, sideskirts, rear flares, rear bumper. its an evo 6.5 style kit and not cheap.

Yeah I'm with the understanding that's its not cheap- quote for the boot as company has the mould is $700 4-6 weeks wait so ill be going with that.. They can do front guards custom mould but I imagine that could be 1k plus. Still no reply from racepro in Nz

youd be better off just getting ths guards in fibreglass.glass ones will weigh about the same and will prob last longer on a road car. to save weight by using carbon you need it to be very thin. its very brittle and doesnt
absorb the shock and vibrations like fibreglass will. if they are carbon guards to suit a street car they are prob even heavier thsn glass ones.this is because a single layer of carbon matting would be laid down first followed by prob two layers of fibreglass.
this would be okay if you want to pose but costly as the carbon fibre is very tricky to lay in the moulds nicely if you want a raw carbon fnish.
they need to vacumn bag these moulds or have an expert handlay them. a boot is easy to lay. bumpers and guards alot harder and alot more time consuming.
its the labour cost that will kill ya.the full kit from racepro even in glass is going to cost you a shit load anyway especially once you consider freight.

my wide body front guards weigh 1.1kgs from memory and the doors are around 4kg, f/g is cheaper and more often than not just as light unless its a dry layup
