Hey when i warm my car up it puts out a bit of black and white smoke ... plus it builds up and spits (what im guessing is carbon?!?) on the ground. Its not exactly a terrible problem just wish it wouldnt. Plus when i turn the car off some times it shutters and kicks abit before it stops running. i was able to stop it from doing it by making it ideal lower but then it shutters at the lights and i always think it will stall .... plus when the weather is cold it runs bad enough as is. so....

Any ideas would be great

cheers

Hrmmmmm.....

May need your carby simply cleaned out or the rejetted.... Its a hard call.... you keep it servicing up to date, because dodgey cold starts can be traced back to dirty plugs... I had this problem with an old Cooper S I owned, new plugs every 3000kms..... Have a look at you plugs and see what color they are.....

how many k's does it have?

carbies do need to be serviced, most mechanics either dont know how to, or simply dont care about doing it.. the cars 11 yrs old now, imagen how dirty you would be after 11 yrs without a shower!!

any 1st yr apprentace mechanic can diagnose a dieing motor, just take it in for a checkup

What model car have you got and motor ????

If CC Lancer or variable venturi carby will do all of the above or it requires a choke adjustment
