I am trying to find the reason why this CB GSR that Jamo (evo-gsr) picked up for me is not starting.

It's got a 4G61 N/A- picked it up with it running rough under 3k rpm. Jamo replaced the coil packs which made the roughness a lot better, but still had a slight miss. 2 days later, the car is refusing to start.

Apparently it's getting fuel, but was only firing on 2cyl. Swapped Ignitor + ECU and still no go. Went to swap out the CAS from a Galant, which had a different plug (square instead of rectangle) which required a re-wire. Jayrome suggested re-wiring the new CAS to the old plug using the same sequence that the wires come out of the CAS itself.

I just wanted to make sure that this is the way it is supposed to be- before we torch it.

Pop the cover off the cas and have a look where the wires go and compare with the other one.
Whats in there? 2 optical sensors. A pair of wires will go to 1 sensor and the other to other sensor. 1 sensor will have 4 chopper points the other will have 1...
Maybe. But should self explain itself when you get in there

Pretty safe to say that wiring up both sets of 4 wires in the same spot is the way to do it, judging off this pic:
