CB GSR Aus-spec: OBD Port Location

The check engine light on my CB GSR has come on and i'm not sure how to diagnose what the error is.

Can somebody please confirm for me where the OBD connector is located in the car and what it looks like.

I've seen a connector on the side of the fuse box, but it only has 3x wires in it and it doesn't match the OBD2 connecter on the unit I was loaned.


Any assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers mate, are you referring to the one on the side of the fusebox or is there another one tucked up near the pedal. I couldn't see anything when i looked there.

Hey mate,

These cars are OBD1. I used to have a palm pilot with 'MMCD' on it but sold it a while ago. You can only log if you have a single board ECU too.

Cheers mate, i might try jaycar and setup a buzzer to check it. It's doing my head in trying to work this freaking thing out.

Or if you wish you could make a cable for laptop to use with TMO software which you can find relatively easy on the net.
