Hi

Looking at eventually getting a CC GSR already fitted with a 4G63, have read the following link

http://4gtuner.com/site/showthread.php?t=3492&highlight=check

and some others but just have a few questions in mind on what to look for when purchasing.

in some of the post's they talk about upgrading the CC driving gear with the EVO. im assuming this is the diff for the EVO gear ratio's? - how can you tell the difference between a stock GSR diff and the EVO diff/running gear?

I've also read that when a conversion is done with the VR4 4G theres a bracket that looks like an X which also needs to be swapped over or you could experience problems with the drive shaft, does this also apply for the EVO 1-3 conversions?

is there a need to upgrade the fuel pump when going to the 4G63?

do the evo/vr4 motors come with an oil cooler? if one isnt fitted up... is it the end of the world?

tappet noises are they common in all motors or is it the ones that are not serviced regularly.

is there anything else to look for?

thanks

unless you jack the car up and have a look.. or if you get to take it to a freeway for a test drive, 100km at approx 3000rpm means you have the GSR gear box.

I think you are talking about the aircon bracket which provides a 8mm spacer (i think) to help angle to drive shaft correctly.

I would upgrade it, a walbro is more then enough and they are pretty cheap these days.

yeap they do, if one isnt fitted up it isnt the end of the world, but make sure they holes are blocked properly or else they will leak.

it's fair to say some come with the tappets and some don't.. but just because it's serviced regularly doesn't mean it won't tap at all..

roof rust, bubbling on the roof..

other then that just the usual leaks and weird noises!

gluck they are actually quite nice cars when you find a decent one! :D

your probly better off with the GSR ratios, for street driving, and draging

get a walbro fuel pump straight away

they do come with a oil cooler as do the 7 bolt

tappet noise is not meant to happen, but there is upgrade lifters called 3G
