Hey Guys,

Sorry if this has already been covered before, couldn't find info on it.

I want to know if anyone knows which wires to the ecu or in the engine bay near the air con that controls the revs so that when you turn on the air conditioning the revs increase to compensate for the extra load from the air con compressor.

At the moment with my car when the air con turns on the revs drop to a point where the cars will borderline of stalling when idling because the revs are 2 low.

I want to be able to fix this asap.

If anyone has traced the wiring or knows which ones control these so i can then check on mine to fix this.

Look forward to your replies

Cheers
Jesse

Chances are you need a new one of these:

Your ECU tells it to up the revs to compensate for the extra load on the engine.

I have the same problem - very embarrassing when the thing stalls everytime you pull up at a set of lights!

So that one in the Meek pic fits the '93 as well as the '63?

John- If you still have that magna have a look, you might be lucky enough to find that it has the same one under it's bonnet... I scored a couple off the cars at the wreckers for spares, when rounding up some hubs for 5 stud convo, just have to check the pin count where it plugs in....

me too

now i'm using this
FICD to stabilize the idling with aircond
if not.. it drop to 700rpm
engine like to die

Do you know what car that idle controller came from? Also do you have a bigger picture of above diagram?

Rob,

you'll find them in the 121 bubbles here too.

i took a few spares when i was at pik n payless at blacktown. Same Denso unit as well.

instructions on how to do it: http://dokaugot.fotopic.net/c1739293.html

if i find another ficd unit out of another toyota which is similar would it do the same job as the denso unit.
went to wreckers at lunch and didnt have any in the bubbles but i got one out of another toyota to try.
