Hi peeps just a question about bolt on upgrades using evo 3 gear on the 4g93t.

Ive got usal bolt-ons

ET exhaust/split dump, Magna TB, walbro pump, vr4 cooler, Pod, duel stage controller, tdo5 16g(s).

Have evo3 standard ECU+ injectors+ afm yet to fit.

Is it best to try get an evo fuel rail and regulator?

Will retaining the standard GSR reg an fuel rail run into any problems with tune and air/fuel ratios or power diferences?

Or just put an adjustable fuel reg in?

Any input or previous experience with anything like this would be appriciated

cheers nate

The 4G63 fuel rail will not fit on the 4G93, the regs will be the same

Theres really no point changing the fuel reg anyeway, the stock unit can support up to 400hp easily

My mate is pushing 450hp and still retaining the stock reg

Dragging this one back up. I'm in a little pooh with my tune ATM and i want to swap one out for diagnosis. I have two regs in front of me right now. Both different. As per the above if the Evo rail is different but the reg is the same then the ones pictured here in front of me must be a vr4 on the left and then a Gsr/Evo on the right. The right one is def Gsr as its the same on all of the engines that I have here.
Here is the question... Can the supposed vr4 one be fitted on without any trouble?? Looks like it will bolt up no problems and it will just be the angles of the vac and fuel lines!! How different are the fuel pressures in the vr4 compared to the Gsr/Evo?

Thanks guys you are lifesavers!!

I had to grind a small amount off a VR4 rail to clear when using the reg pictured on the right. My fuel rail was a VR4 but the reg I had to use was a evo3 one apparently. I couldn't get a GSR reg to fit the VR4 rail no matter what I did.

There you go, clear as mud. :)

ROFL @ EVO-00X!!!

I see what u did there

LOL :p I see ALL deleted posts on the forum  Cant hide anything from me on here :w00t:

Only thing that seems to be needed to be done is raise the leads up so they dont rub on the FPR diaphragm!

Yeah I'm allowed to post something stupid then delete it before anyone else notices lol. ;)
Reason why I deleted it is because the exact same reason that "Jack of All" mentioned above.
There is a difference in the GVR4 base idle fuel pressure with 450cc injectors, than that of the EVO with 510cc injectors.
The ECU might be able to compensate for the air/fuel mix, but it may also make the engine run a bit leaner or richer.
