Hi guys. I have a question. I have seen a few cc gsr's and Evo 1-3's in nz with evo4-6 rear seats in them. I know the fronts just bolt straight in so my question is do the rears fit out of a Ce sedan as a straight fit? Modification? Anyone done this or seen it before? Advice would be appreciated... Cheers

Depending on what model lancer you have as GSR's have split fold rear seats which has a catch bolted to the body, while EVOs dont

I put my TME seats into my Evo 3 (just to see really) and the fronts were fine. The back part of the back seat was ok too but the base had a gap where the rear wheel arches met the floor and it was quite tight against the rear door cards too.
It looked pretty cool though :D

Yes they will fit.

The issues becomes that the cross brace support bracket on the Japanses cars supports the seat and you don't have this in a Australian Delivered GSR. You can certainly try and sit people in the back but I only ever had the EVO VI back seat in with 1 passenger.

my 6.5 TME rear seats fit perfectly in the back of my GSR, no gaps. I had EVO 7 seats before them and they didnt fit so well.

I've got those hooks too Rob.
With the 2 piece GSR seats, they have hooks that hold the side bolsters in place, and the the middle piece gets bolted down.
Whereas the Evo seats are 1 piece.

yeh i forgot about the bolsters hooking on for the fold down GSR seat... makes sense the one piece Evo back uses them hooks.

but then again i even forgot what my GSR looks like ...buried under a cover in the garage..

in mine, i had a CM5A(E4) GSR one piece back seat customized by trimmers.. they removed the cover off it, added extra material and fitted it to a glxi folding down seat.... including the bolsters... it looks good with the matching recaro's.

So a jap Gsr and Evo 1-6 are interchangeable rear seats, how about 7-9 can they fit the early Evo and jap Gsr?.

What about cc coupes. What is the did between rears on the coupe and sedans

GL and EVO are the same (apart from colours and mould and EVO's have fold down hand rest)
GLXi, Executive, GSR and Proton M21 are the same (apart from colours, executive, GSR and M21 have fold down hand rest)

If you wanna throw GLXi/GSR/M21 split fold seats in a GL/EVO then u will need to get the latches that bolt to the body so the seats click in

Only other difference is the sedan bottom seat is rounded off, the coupe is squarish to fit flush in the rerar quaters
