Hi guys,

I was wondering is it safe to grind/shave off the square bit on the engine block (the square bit is beside of the rear balancer shaft), my a/r 7.0 compressor is hitting the engine block... let me know before I put a hole there

Circled in red...

I don't see a problem grinding into the block there. From the look of that pic you only need to take a few mm off don't you?

I did attempt to clock the compressor, very limited space. I need about 1cm of space so my exh manifold can sit in the head properly. Cross finger as Im gonna cut the square bit off on the weekend

Grinded off the square block yesterday, I still do need about 5 to 10mm to seat the exhaust manifold in... I may need the flange, any idea where can I get one of these http://www.aptuned.com/VIB-1460M ?

There is a flange on eBay for under $40. They are in US, but say that they will ship worldwide.

But why ate you having this problem? I have ran HUGE turbos with stock manifold without having this probllem...

Hi Leon,

Can you please send me the link... I'm using a custom made manifold, thats explain why

Let me know if this works:

Usually these flanges are .5" thick, while this one is .375". But that should be enough as a spacer.

Why are you using a custom header? To adapt a non-OEM flange turbo?
