I have climate control in my car atm, but the outside temp always shows 20c. I'm amusing that the sensor is either faulty/not pluged in properly/not there

Can anyone tell me where it 'should' be? I have a new one and have hunted around in the engine bay without luck, was expecting it to be on the firewall..

It's on the radiator support panel. Its a 2-part unit on a bracket. A small black cylinderical plastic object, and a white ceramic resistor pack.

Hahahaha well when you know what the issue is? let me know

Mine's been sitting on 20 for the last two years before it was working perfectly

I removed one of those sensors from the E1 front cut I took my replacement radiator support from at CVAP yesterday.

Well i think i found my issue, there doesn't appear to be anything there lol.

No wires or sensors and the sensor i was given looks nothing like that one! Attached a photo

let us know when you get a compatible sensor and fit it whether it fixes the issue or not

Mine works :p John, do you have an EVO loom or Japspec GSr/Libero loom? Doesnt it have the plugs there ready for the sensors?

Its always been Jspec gsr loom the climate control and ext. ambiant sensor has been in the car since the 93t went in and worked for years as written above

One day it decided to only give a 20 degree read out everything plugged in and nothing has changed when it decided to stop working and just read 20 since never bothered about it as its just a bit of bling imho

Yeah I suppose its not an importantr thing to have or worry about if it doesnt work. Only time you would use it would be to go 'fark its hot/cold outside!" lol

I ran mine behind the intercooler made up a separate harness extension and used in different area's in the engine bay for temp readings, come to think of it after I was playing around for a couple of weeks with that a couple of months later is when it died. Ive got a spare somewhere will have to dig it out and give it a try next time I decide to remove my frt bar.
