Hey guys,

I am expearancing a knock in my suspension at low speeds over rough roads /going up my driveway. I think it is in the rear, are they any common points of failure that I should check out before taking it to pedders?

I think you are right there dude, gave the rear a good pull/shake around and found it was making the noise... but I cant find where its making the noise. Can it be the rubbers going over time?

Hmmmm, might be time for an upgrade... whiteline perhaps :D

ive got a rear whiteline 20mm swaybar and upgraded rose joints, and i keep snapping the rose joint mount off the main lower suspension arm :?

I've got a similar noise coming from my front right. It mainly happens when i am turning in or out of a driveway. I'll have a look at my swaybay links today.

yeah i think so..... they come in two thicknesses, not sure if its 18mm and 20mm, or 20mm and 22mm :?

hrm swaybar mounts eyyy....

i think mine are gone too, i hear a little 'thump' occasionally, going up the driveway and crap :S I always thought it might be my cables to the sub knocking against the car body or spare wheel nuts in the boot moving around.... arghhhh how to check?

oh the whiteline swaybar comes in 18mm and 20mm, i was thinking about it a while back.

I checked by getting under the car on the fuel filler side and there is a nice exposed section of the sway bar there than you can grab hold of and give it a good shake, I found that mine was making the same noise as I hear in the car. I am going to jack it up this weekend and checkout if it worse on full droop. As I cant actualy see where the issue is. I might just order some whiteline swaybar attachment arm thingys as they are like 20 bucks or something.

Will keep you all posted.

im pretty sure u can only buy them links geniune from mitsubishi and they are about $120each from memory although i checked with proton once for prices of the same item from the gti satria and found to be $90 each but had to come from malaysia... this was ages ago, dont know if prices have gone up or down since then....

Excellent thanks dude! Will have to disconnect mine and check out if it goes away before I replace anything :)

Haven't invesigated too heavily yet to be honest. I've been busy trying to get an EPA issue sorted!!! I'll let you know how i go in the next few weeks.

Well I now have a noise in the front right(passenger) and I am looking into it, I believe it is the front swaybar links, but not totally sure yet.
