hey guys,

i'm in a bit of a pickle with my car at the moment because my mechanic is closed for the next week and a half.

with my new clutch, clutch fork and pivot ball installed, i've been finding it hard to shift gears, and its gradually becoming worse to the point where i only just got the car to work today by forcing it into each gear.

is there something I can do to stop this from happening?

the pedal feel is firm, and pumping it doesn't really have any effect.

the clutch has always been "on the floor" so I'm thinking that maybe it isn't full disengaging... how can I get it off the floor so there is a bit of free-play at either side of the clutch engagement/disengagement?

thanks guys
mat :)

there is an adjustable rod on the clutch master cylinder, it will make some difference. however be careful the clutch fully returns after you have adjusted it as it is easy to go to far and doing so will cause the cylinder piston to cover the return port in the master cylinder, this holds pressure in the master cylinder and the clutch bearing against the pressure plate.

also try bleeding the system

Yeah, give it a bleed before freaking out. I've come across heaps of Mitsu's that are in to get a new clutch, I bleed them first just to check and about half are fine after a good bleed with good fluid.
