hi guys,
out of interest, i havent comp tested my engine yet. but i plan on doing it for the fun of it soon, runs fine and all.
but this engine is completely unknown to what it is, ie. evo? rvr? what evo? and so on.
what type of comps would i see on a guage with the diff evo engines?
i wouldnt think many would have done a rvr engine before.
but what psi would a e3 engine or a e2 make? like e3 ment to be higher and all.
cheers simon.

Mines not an evo motor, but all cylinders should be close to one another (within a percentage of)..

I figured this would make an interesting list though.

Results would depend on many factors: Compression ratio, kms on engine and condition of motor etc..
I have 4G93T, 130K kms, 8.5:1 Compression ratio,
all four cylinders measured between 160 and 165 psi (last week).

I think an Evo III shoul dblow 190psi x 4 when new.

The evo I and II might be around 180psi x 4.

i comp tested an evo 1 engine at work the other week, had just over 1800thou km on it and it tested 185 185 185 180!!
not bad condition for a higher km motor.

Update after rebuild: Compression Lowered (via pistons) to 8.0:1
all four cylinders measured 140psi

This would be a good list to compile.

But it would also be difficult to confirm because of the age of the motors etc etc.
