cooling system

hey guys,

i seem to have a leak, well more like a gaping hole in my cooling system somewhere and i wanted to check if there were any known problems that occour with parts like the water pump or what not.

is it leaking onto the ground?

i could only suggest:

- heater lines
- water pipe rusted out
- turbo lines
- water pump seal
- head gasket
- radiator

thats almost everything!

you could probably try a pressure test if u wanted
not sure if a radiator place could do it but they have this cork like plug which they use to test the radiators after fixing / building them, anyway, maybe they could do it while its on the car and pump it up with the engine off so u could hear / see water leaking ....

just a few suggestions..

if it is leaking onto the ground, just follow the leak up, and there u have it

i believe some of it is leaking onto the ground, but my car was lowered so much by the previous owner that it is near impossible to get underneath. the head gasket was only replaced 2-3 weeks ago (apparantley).

jack it up, let it sit
make sure its a clean area u park it

thats the best way to find it mate

easy for me to say because my engine bay is like new

a can of degreaser will help you spot it
