Hi

I'm looking at purchasing a COP kit for my 6 bolt. I run a PS1000 and will upgrade to a CDI at the same time. I have seen some on Ebay USA and the JM Fabrications plate but I'm not sure what coils it runs. Does anyone have a COP kit or CDI they recommend? The engine made 380+AWKW on 22psi.
 
For CDI I would use either AEM Pencil coils or Chrysler 300c coils.

For non CDI I would use Denso 90919-02440 coils. Unless you are making 600hp+ I wouldn't worry about CDI.
 
I'm making 410hp atw and my LS2 coils are starting to breakdown spark under boost. My tuner has told me it's time to go CDI, so am looking at the Autronic unit.

I am not talking crank hp. I am talking atw.

I have used them on my own car at 647hp atw and on an evo 8 as high as 745hp atw. They went CDI because the car developed a mis-fire which ended up being a crank sensor (coils were fine).

The attached picture is a kit I made for my car 6-7 years ago.

Im at the same point with my Evo....need to go CDI to go any further too.
 
Not sure what the 300c coils are mate, But the 300m ones are the ones the dsm guys use.

Unsure if they work with CDI but jumping on the dsm sites would be your best option.
 
dont mean to steal a thread here. but ive got a COP setup on my E3 motor and ive fired possibly 2 ignitiors now.. first time was the ignitor. wired up to just plug in to the factory harness

anyone know why it would do what its doing?
