crank scrapers..

opinions on crank scrapers? yes? no? useless?

i have one in my current engine, just thinking should i make one for my new engine..

i currently have the dual scraper design from here....

Yeah, I think they are worth it.
Make one, they are not too hard, just time consuming.

Engines and Hi-po engines have gotten along fine with them for many many years. I really don't think the weight of 15 oil drops sitting on a crank when spinning 7000rpm will make a difference. But then again, it wouldn't hurt to have it, unless it breaks off/damages other stuff.

hurm.... i just really dont like the fact of having a 2.5mm thick plate mild steel sandwiched between my crank bolt and end cap..... other wise i dont really mind having one...
