I suspect my crank oil seal may be dripping oil out on my 4G93T GSR, I thought it was the sump at first but after I refitted the sump twice thinking i had messed it up it is still dripping from the exact same place, directly under the the crank pulley. Unfortunately my impact wrech which i use to remove the pulley was being borrowed tonight when i wanted it off but i can check for sure tomorrow, my question is though how easy is the oil seal at this side to change? I will be changing the cambelt at the same time which is a very easy job i find but does the seal just pop off from the outside like a normal seal then press a new one in?

I have a fear that Mitsubishi will have designed some horrific system meaning I need the crank and everything out!

A few other things I have checked:

Rocker cover
Head gasket (you never know i guess...)
Power steering pump (Has no fluid in at the moment)

And if it isnt the sump gasket then I can't think of anywhere else it will be coming from, it doesn't drip at all when not running but after a few minutes of running it drips once every 4 or 5 seconds

Get a small self tapping screw and screw it gently into the seal, making sure you have a good purchase on the metal used in the seal. Use some multi-grips on the screw to pull out the seal. Use two screws if its being a bitch.

cheers lads, ill try that tomorrow and good tip with the self tappers. Does it sound to you like a leaking crank seal? It is not coming from above it for sure and im 95% sure it isnt from the sump itself so can't see where else it would be from

I had one leak on me before tell tale would be the plastic cover being quite wet.

May also be a leaky oil filter/cooler seal
