Hi guys, its been quite a while since I last posted. I have put a 4g61t into my daily (2 months ago) and now it is time for stage two.

I pulled the turbo off today for the next mods

14b turbo
vr4 mani
vr4 dump pipe
2.5" exhaust.

I allready put a vr4 ecu, injectors and afm in. now I just wait for clutz to send the vr4 cams too.

I also put a CC shifter into the CB today for some short shifting!

I brought a RVR with a 4g63t that I pickup next friday in newcastle --- and drive back ! that should be fun, got it for $6K with exhaust, rims and stereo... not bad buying!

hey glen haha aw tru so your gona do some more stuff to that little gsr lol. Aye why did you buy an rvr lol? wat bout your silver gsr?
 
well - need a towing car (the RVR) and a different daily. I get bored often...

Im still working on and improving the silver gsr. And the celica is ready for the 1ggze all painted up and looking good.

Well the upgrades are complete I had to get the manifold plained - but the rest when smooth.

OMG where is boost ? 14b on 1.6T = lag !!!! I'm comparing this to the 11b! 3500rpm vs 2000rpm boost :D

I was running 10psi on the 11b and when I put on the 14b it dropped to 6psi. it was about the same speed as the 11b but with 4 psi less, so off I went in search of a boost controller ... found one in the shed and fitted it up (dual stage). Put in 10psi and it is alot faster than the 11b --- huge more topend but below 3500rpm it is abit sad.

I will put in 15psi on the high boost setting tonight and see how it runs. I still have a 1.5" exhaust so that would holding it back HEAPS.... I'll make a new exhaust when I get time.

Anyhow --- I thought I might share this info with you all!

Also --- due to the reduced boost levels - tyre spin has reduced lots :D

you will find the 14b pull much harder over the rev range.
and yes get that exhaust changed asap!
 
my 1600 was always a lag monster, even with supporting mods, good news is a 16g turbo doenst change spool time much and comes on smoother than a 14b so bit less wheel spin, but more power again. but yeah when they come on you have to hold on hard!!.
 
haha mean bro soundz good aye. abit of a drive though or are you getting it trained over? lol hey when are you comeing up to get that diff? hey also did you move the computer in mine at all?
